Tercatat, Mongolia saat ini disegani di kancah basket 3×3 usai menjuarai FIBA ​​3×3 Asia Cup 2023 dengan mengalahkan Australia.

Keberhasilan tersebut tidak lepas dari peran federasi bola basket Mongolia yang mulai fokus mengembangkan bola basket 3×3.
